Photomatix has been mentioned already which also offer a basic version for free. Another commercial package that can produce HDR is Corel's Paint Shop Pro X2. A freeware option is
qtpfsgui.

Yeah its really cool and makes you wanna take loads of pictures of everything. Its addictive. I like photography and tweaking things on photoshop so i'm loving it. I'm still learning all about it so hope to get better

Note to self: try out a product first before recommending to others. Paint Shop Pro X2's HDR tool is sh*t!
