Motorola is finally being a little competitive! Non-TS-one-handed-symbian, I like!

UIQ 3.2 is tempting, but as well i would like to see flagship SE cybershots/walkmans powered by UIQ 3.2 and i hope P-series retains the TS version of UIQ

Yeah, i'd like to see a SE fanboy come here and say Z10 sucks and back it up. Truth is that its more advance than any SE out there
so are you saying it's more advanced than K850? or W960?
Yes ofcourse its more advance than W960 and K850. Its entirely something new. Innovative design, first ever UIQ non touch screen phone.

Er, no - that would be the RIZR Z8. This Z10 seems to be just an updated version of that phone, which I think it's fair to say hasn't set the world alight just yet (in fact, many reviews question the suitability of UIQ for non-touchscreen use).

Hi all,
I really some how doubt that Motorola have jumped ship to S60 after only one device and am pretty sure if they had done so we would of heard all about it by now.
I definitely prefer the colour scheme of the Z10 and also hope they have improved the keypad, although i must say the thing that actually disappointed me the most about the Z8 was the screen. As everyone raves about it in reviews and i found it less than impressive to put it mildly the Video playback was no where near as good as other devices i have used. I still think it is at retail a very expensive handset for what it is. But currently it is the most powerful UIQ3 device by a long way although why still no WiFi is a bit of a mystery maybe Motorola see it as a selling point to the Networks. Look they have to use your Network for Data we left out the WiFi on purpose as always who cares about the user that paid for it.

Dude sorry to bust your bubble but they beat

hands DOWN! Using their own software & better at it. (well thats arguable).
its UIQ3.1 (make NO MISTAKE ABOUT IT).
Symbian OS 9.2 core
1-Handed NON-TOUCHSCREEN UIQ flava in your EAR!
Motorola 2 years ago consumed the design studio, headquarters & also the coders into their own workshop but same location somewhere in Europe - that of SENDO. Sendo, originally was going to go with M$ OS, but they got burned. Then licensed S60 but only 2 of there phones was S60 and they where BULKY.
Its no doubt UIQ3.1.
Take a look at the UIQ org site, look for non-touchscreen and elements used to navigate and interactive information .... then look youtube videos or press conference of intro of the already on market RIZR Z8 also using UIQ3.1 NON-Touchscreen, then look here for the Z10.
lol, don't call me DUDE im not a stoner.
Why have you given me info that i clearly already know?
My ONLY mistake was that i said the Z10 was s60 which i now know it isn't. I find it an interesting phone and i don't have anything against Motorola or UIQ i was just confused by what was written in Gsmarena. Find it great that it has the OMAP2420 chip thats why i say its very tempting, its a phone i will consider when upgrading. Still very puzzled by why you tell me info i know or don't care about, lol.

I didn't know you already knew from the first quote above. Sorry about that. Dude does NOT come from stoners, silly its original usage comes from slang of California surfers " surfer dudes" meaning cool guys or cool new age cowboys. Eventually dudes got known as stoners due to Sean Penn's performance in Rich Times At Fairmount High. The word Dude goes back more than 30years from early years of Skateboarders from Tony Hawks' childhood.

The phone runs UIQ 3.1/Symbian 9.2, just like the Z8...UIQ 3.2, if does ever come out, will be based in Symbian 9.3
However, latest info points that the next iteration of UIQ will actually be UIQ4, based in Symbian 9.5...the P3i will bring it, and i guess the 2008 UIQ motorolas will also
