it's really pointless waiting for something when you don't know when it will come...
And when it does come it might be rubbish, needing another year to mature.

P1's software has so many features missing that productivity takes a hit. I regret having purchased this amateurishly produced phone. Wish I good go back to my Nokia 7710, a finely featured phone that offered so much more in term of inbuilt software features

it's even more pointless when such a product has never even been anounced!

AFAIK, there is no P3, the next phone will be the P5 but if things keep going this way, it will be out at the shops in 2009. Go for the P1, is a very very good phone, as a P-series fan (P800, P900, P910, P990, P1), after the P990 bluff (the worst of the family) I am very happy with the P1.

Ok, I just got my P1i, which so far I am very happy with. I did buy this on Ebay from a UK Dealer, however when I started it up its in Chinese, I've managed to change most of the language to English but when I go to Device Settings - Text Input - On-screen Keyboard the only option is "Chinese virtual keyboard"

I've had a look at how to change this to English but couldn't find anything, can anyone point me in the right direction?

I've also updated to the latest R9J005 firmware.

Hi! Stevevalo!

Have you solved your problem yet? I have a similar problem with yours. I bought my P1i in Taiwan but I need Russian text input.

I tried many forums for the answer, but so far I could get none. Can you please let me know how you solved it? But I want to keep the Traditional Chinese on my P1i.

I'm located in Moscow now. Yesterday I visit the official SE store and Gorbushka, but no one seemed to be able to help me (((

I would wait 2-3 months maximum for a phone where I know the exact release date but other than that I would just get something that is on the market now. Waiting for something that could be 6-12 months away is stupid.

Get it now. You'll wait forever if you keep waiting. When P5 is out, rumors of P whatever will surf, and you're gonna wait again!

@ LeChat Check your PM, although I think you should start an new Topic to see if anyone else can help, Do you want English, Chinese and Russian or just Russian and Chinese text input?

@ everyone else I posted on the 21st November that I purchased a P1i, so for me its end of discussion.

Thanks to everyone who posted.
