when i tested n95, i had to charge it every day. lets say some calls, wifi usage, gps and playing with it around, well, its weak, when i compare it with my e60. one thing is sure, at really heavy usage the batt is done in 18-20 hours

my phone barely made it through the day when i had mine (had 2 at different times, batt was bad on both)

you have the option to buy a spare battery though... but i didnt want to spend the money, and didnt want to charge twice a day, so sold them off...... good phone none the less the n95, just the build quality was not the greatest.

Indeed, the build quality, especially round the slider mechanism is not brilliant. I find my battery lasts around 1-2 days, if I don't do much with my phone I can go 2 days between charges, but a bit of wifi, pictures, a few calls and texts and I'm charging it 24 hours later!

@razec:
What other conclusion can there be??
From smape review (read the bold words

)
"....Sony Ericsson were able to design a well-balanced 5 Mpix camera phone which isn’t bad at all at taking pictures but it has
very few advantages over the N95 while the latter was able to beat its competitor in
quite a number of tests."
Of course, under some situations N95 was behind. As a whole, N95 camera still comes out on top in many more situations. E.g.
"....shooting darker objects against a bright background. Looks like K850i nearly failed the task: "
"...The N95 produced a more saturated image with a realistic color rendering. All the small details are still easily distinguishable in the picture which scores it a few more points leaving K850i behind with its blurred and light-struck photos. "
"..It’s easily recognized when you compare the pictures to those taken with a N95 – while the latter keeps the details sharp and colorful, the K850i gives a dull and blurry image. "
"...blaming Nokia handsets for taking unnaturally colored photos. The popularity of this belief is quite comparable to its wrongness. There might be something to it, by so far we’ve only encountered vivid and bright colours in N95 pictures but those by no means looked unreal or unnatural....So it turns out that actually it’s the SE phone that indulges in such a vice as unnatural color rendering – if not always, then at least in a good number of cases. While The N95 image post-processing algorithm does a good job making picture more bright and deep, the K850i tends to corrupt the photos in a way. "
"...Take a closer look at the Kremlin star, especially the ornament. N95 makes it possible to recognize details while K850i gives a good deal of blurring. It becomes quite clear which of the two actually corrupts details… "
"Quite a plain picture, but what makes it interesting is the auto ISO adjustment system - note the amount of noise in the K850i picture and it’ll become clear that N95 does the job much better. We advise the owners of K850i to do ISO adjustments manually, there’s no use relying on the automatics. "
"K*50..abundance of yellow is but a corruption of its normally white lightning as seen in real life. N95 did the job quite well, the photos sporting a better detail and color depth"
"The SE phone produced a more vague image that looks like it needs some editing to match the superb photo taken with N95. The latter displayed a bad habit of processing the image just a bit too intensely, but still the photo is as good as it comes. "
wrt to picture of girl in phonedaily review, you may be right that K850 picked up more details of the hair BUT then the K850 overall photo is still horribly colored compared to N95.

what about this conclusion from mobile-review.com
Frankly speaking, I didn’t love the twist in ergonomics, missing shutter and these switches. But my experience of a few thousands of shots tells me that it is not a big deal. The handset is easy to master, so it looks quite adequate as a replacement for a real (wanted to write “handset” – Mr. Freud?) camera. If you value truly photographic quality of snaps – look no further, this model has no alternatives. In all conscience I have to admit that the Nokia N95 over the past 6 months has become the most popular 5 Mpix equipped device, but the Sony Ericsson K850i is not only on its heels, it also surpasses it in the imaging department (that’s our only focus now).

You can find the answer you want depending on the review you read
Personally I prefer the minimialist processing of the K850 - as it is obvious to me that the K850 captures more actual detail than the N95. This is more important to me than other factors (I am happy to post process myself when necessary)
This same dichotomy applies to K750/N70 conmparisons
The phone daily shots are not a good example - the outdoor shots (both K850 and N95) all have white sky - so I can only assume it was overcast as I have seen bluesky shots from both cameras.
However the inside and flash shots of the K850 are generally better than the N95 examples shown at phone daily, but the N95 colour is more saturated and therefore more vibrant. Also N95 reds are better than K850.
Overall, even in the phone daily review, I feel the K850 is the better camera. And if both N95 and K850 photos are post processed, the K850 will be considerably better due to the increased detail available prior to processing.
Both phones print great pictures even at 8x10 or larger, but if you are only printing at 4x6 or 5x7, the N95 will less often require post processing compared to the K850. So for the point and shoot camera phone user, who wants to take a photo and print to a photo kiosk straight from the phone, the N95 does have an advantage.
This advantage can actually be eliminated by modding camera drivers (colour and noise can be tweaked by camrivers), and for K750 and K800 you can actually have the best of both worlds.
But camdriver modding isn't for everyone.

Well, only if you are a zombie and you dig the "dead" skin color of the girl in the shots taken by K850.

if that's the real skin tone of the girl then why would you complain?

only dead people have that kind of skin tone and the girl in the picture does not look dead to me.

Don't get too hung up on the camera. The fact is - if the cameras are so close that you can argue at length over which is best then as a phone the N95 blows the K850 out the water.
