I think the neonode1 is the best one of them together with the spv.
I hope the spv will be realesed in Norway as soon as possible.
Both of these phones has a much better screen than p800 and they both got a webbrowser.(sorry if my english isn`t that good)

A better screen for me is a screen with higher resolution. The amount of colors isn't that important. 4096 color is enough. The P800 has a very nice screen. And when it comes to web browsing the higher resolution gives a much better experience...

What movie format is p800 gonna play? they say at se.com that it will b able to play movie clips. Will the camera be ablr to record them and in what format? don't tell me they are speaking gif?
And btw, what about neonode? DivX?

AFAIK it's mpeg4 movies that the P800 could play. The camera will not be able to record movies.

I had the SPV ... for 1 day ... got so sick of it that I returned it right away. I bought a P800 and use it for about 2 months now ... a great phone.

I had an Orange SPV for two months, and intially I thought it was okay, I must admit. It had the Internet Explorer, Windows Media player for the Mp3s and the videos, all my calender functions and stuff, and Interstellar Flames which was just the coolest mobile phone game I have ever seen. On top of that, the screen's 65,000 colours were outstanding and the camera was quite good (despite the slow refresh rate when panning around).
At first, because of all these things, I was willing to knuckle down and cope with the phone's sporadic crashing and bizarre software bugs, of which there were many.
Eventually though, I came to realise that I was having to turn the phone off and then back on again after it had crashed on me at least three times a day, which is extremely excessive. As well as this, the software on the phone was extremely slow when navigating the menus or writing a text message, etc. Sometimes a little egg timer would come up on screen telling you the phone was doing something and would stay on screen for five minutes! Also, the Mp3 playback would stutter, or stop completely, if you tried to do anything else on the phone whilst listening to your music. As for picture messaging (MMS), you could send them easily enough, but you could never recieve them properly, ever. One would come through, and you would open it, it would display "Downloading message" for about five minutes and then "Transfer failed".
The last straw came when the phone developed a strange bug where by it would report that I had one new SMS message, but then when you went into the Inbox, there was nothing there, and because there was nothing there, you couldnt delete it either, so the home screen from then on reported one new SMS which wouldnt go away.
I had tried to like this phone, I really had. I gave it a lot of lee-way with regards to its faults and glitches, but it just got too ridiculous.
By contrast, I have had my P800 now for two months, and can honestly say that it is the best mobile phone I have ever had. I mourn the loss of the 65,000 colours, but instead I have a smooth refresh rate on my camera and a more logical way of viewing the pictures than was on the SPV. Also, my P800 has crashed on my a total of 3 times since I had it. Three times in two months as compared to 3 times EVERY DAY with the SPV. Sure, the P800 is not perfect, I am the first to admit it, but it sh**s all over the SPV in terms of features, expandibility and stability.
I am not trying to bad mouth the SPV for the sake of it, as I really tried to get along with it, but it really let me down in almost every way and now I just feel disgusted with it. A phone with that many bugs and problems should never have been released onto the market.
The P800 has its issues as well, but if it comes down to a choice between the two, my opinion is informed by experience; the P800 wins every time.

with my R380s I can answer an SMS (with MANY lines of text) before you could even navigate to your inbox folder on SPV, let alone answering it.
P800 is a VERY advanced and complete PDA/mobile from a highly reputed company with very few features left to wanting. It's a super-toy.
SPV on the other hand is an untalented wannabe baby of a big evil corporation. And it will fail miserably.

i own an spv.you're right,the p800 is a super toy.but just a toy.the spv is a gadget.THE SPV SEPARATES THE MEN FROM THE BOYS!!!

after trying both out (both in-store and by playing with m8's phones), i decided that the spv was much more suited to what i needed it for - you cant really compare the two and say 'this ones better', because they both have different benefits and drawbacks:
o the p800 obviously has the style tag of being 'sony', so it scores some points there - it also looks better, but then the spv dont look too bad either...
o the build quality is about the same for both phones - in fact, i'd almost say that the spv is more robust, because it hasnt got that flimsy keypad which flips up... i was worried i was gonna break that when i tried out the p800
o of course because the p800 is sony, it inherits the same problem as all other sony products - they automatically hate any non-sony accessories you try to use with them.. That means if you want to upgrade the memory card for example, youve gotta fork out more for the more expensive 'official' sony memory stick, not a generic sd or mmc card like the spv uses.
o ok, the touch screen is a good feature, but it makes the p800 much more like a pda - and i want a phone, not a brick
o which brings us onto size and weight - on both points the spv wins out. by quite a lot. of course when you add the camera to the spv it doesnt seem quite so small, but it is still much more practical for use as a phone or mp3 player
o screen's bigger on the p800, but the spv has more colours - which makes a supprisingly big difference when playing games n stuff - also when using the camera.
there seems to be some predudice against this phone cause it use microsoft's os - and i agree totally that microsoft is evil incarnated, but dont diss the os until youve tried it - it's not all that bad. plus compatibilty with windows is much better than with the p800's sync software (although i havent tried that myself - im going from m8's opinions on that)- activesync works like a comparitive dream (supprisingly)
theres loads of other differences which i cant be bothered to say hear, but my point is that you cant compare the two phones because how good they are depends on what you want to do most on them...
