> W910i restart bug ?
Bookmark topic
I bought my w910 in Sweden as well. Had mine for 4 weeks now, but only in the last 2 days has it started to restart, reset.
I brought the phone back to the Telia store in Stockholm, they said they never heard of the problem. I told them about the problems with the w910's with the Orange network in the UK, and that even EngadgetMobile wrote about the story.
The clerk sent my phone on to SE, said I would get it back in 2 weeks. Hope they figure out the problem. If they say that there is no problem, then it is bullshit and they are covering up, because they are doing a huge marketing push on the w910 for Christmas sales, and they do not want any blemishes, but there is definitely a firmware problem.

I sent my phone back for a software upgrade last monday, the 19th. I checked the status a few days ago and I checked it again today. The status is still awaiting software upgrade. But noone knows for sure when the firmaware update will be released. Maybe should call the papers and inform them about this issue... just want my phone back first.. I don't wanna take se down when they released one of the best phones ever, just a shame with the bugs.

I see people doing updates, how were you able to do it even when your phone kept on restarting?

I'm having the same problem.
When I got the phone (bought in sweden aswell) it would restart once a week perhaps..
Yesterday it would keep restarting once it got the first restart. As soon as the phone reach the standby-screen, it restarts the next second.
Been trying to use SEUS (sony ericsson update service) but the software just keeps on complaining about that my macromedia version isn't compatible.. Macromedia-version!? Anyways, updated flash, shockwave, java and all that but it keeps on complaining..
Any ideas of how to solve this or when the new firmware is to be released?

I've used both HPM-82 and HPM-90 with my W910i and got a similar bug: after a while a hear a bip in the headphones and they're disconnected. I then have to unplug and replug them but I can't rely on them for long listening periods.

I Have been facing the same problem since the past two days, and its just 21 days old. Tried updating the firmware, but SEUS would'nt update it, it would report that i already have the latest firmware i.e R1CA029. Been trying to solve the problem, and finally decided to send it to the service centre.
As a last resort just tried to charge the phone before taking it to the service centre. Now, since the phone was restarting when on, i turned off the phone, within the 30 second time, after which it would restart. That is i turned off the phone before it restarted, and connected it to the charger, and got the usual charging icon. Then i started the phone. And guess what it NEVER RESTARTED AGAIN. But then again I was skeptical, since people, that the phone didnt have the problem, when charging. So, i disconnected the charger, and waited.......................... ANd IT DID NOT RESTART!!!!!!!!!!!!! To be sure i switched off the phone and turned it back on, and waited................................. AND IT DID NOT RESTART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!............
I just hope that the problem is solved............ keeping my fingers crossed......!!!
Incase, its worth mentioning, or if anyone else faced the same problem: I started having this problem when i changed my SIM.
