Well i canīt say i regret that i bought one because it has been fun to play around with a bit and itīs a nice phone over all.
I sold mine a couple of days ago and went over to Nokia. After playing around with a 5310 in a store i was sold.. Such an amazing build quality and feel, so thin, so nice buttons...... i fell in love...
I was quite happy for my K850i but it felt a little to big in my pocket for my liking. The phone also "creaked" a bit and it got worse with time even after some old SE tricks with some paper on carefully choosen places. I think SE has alot to improve in this area.
I never got used to the buttons all the way and often when for example typing an sms and when i should erase something i accidently touched a "touch-button". I also touched these buttons with my cheek during calls and it was a bit annoying.
I was very pleased with the cam (for being in a phone ) compared to my earlier K800/K810i even though i think the pictures needs some "boost" in a photo program before they look really like i want them.
Many things will be fixed with upgrades i guess but "creaky plastic" would need the phone to be returned and i just didnīt feel for messing around with this or waiting for future software upgrades..
Ofcourse you canīt compare a simple 5310 with the tech-filled K850i but it suits my needs and i bought a real digicam also instead. I went for the Fujifilm Finepix F40fd and you actually get the 5310 and the cam for the price of a K850i.
I cought myself trying to navigate by touching the screen though on my new one and nothing happend *lol*

I've owned in the past an Ericsson gh768, Nokia 3210, 3310, 3300,

T610, W800, K610, K800, K850. I must say that the K850 seems like it was rushed into production. The firmware has bugs but it's in a workable state as it is now. It will only get better. I use a K800i alongside it (I have two contracts, business and pleasure) The menus feel faster in the K800 but I think this is due to firmware issues in the K850. But, through all it's faults (mostly firmware issues) I'm in love with my K850 more than any other phone I've owned. Although, I am changing my K800 for T650 (which I'm very excited about) and I am tempted by the N82. I believe the K850 could win the GSM phone of the year in the same way the K800 won it last year.

Of course you can. You can even do that on K800/K810.

I dont regret buying the k850i even though im on my third.
I luv the phone and will no in time that that newfirmware will resolve most of the problems we are having.
And Im hoping to be able to make a video call all the way back from the usa very soon and it supports 3g in us
So i will let every one know what its like.

I went from a K810i to a K850i and have to say I don't regret it. The 850 seems to be more intuitive whilst maintaining full functionality.
Touch sensitive buttons I think speed things up and the rectangle directional pad is better than having a flaky joystick!
Not sure if I like the media player but I think I'm warming to it. Think I'll give that more time before casting an opinion on it
