I'm thinking it is official because I remember one of the online stores that I called up (just before the phone itself was released) mentioned that there was an all black version coming up but didn't have a release date.

Is THIS a FACT?! I think I fell in love with this K850i again, as the default WAP site my provider has shows up in beautiful color now.
