you need the R8ba024 MAIN firmware.

you have 2 file systems currently. i would use the EU_4 FS.

the file system is where the files for your phone are stored (pictures, music etc) and the MAIN is where the phones OS is coded.

look:

EUROPE_4 contains these languages: English - Finnish - Danish - Icelandic - Swedish - Norwegian

EUROPE_5 contains these languages: English - French - German - Italian

yes, you need a tutorial if you dont know how to. the tutorial works for, almost, every phone. you just need the correct files for your phone.

So, if I have the filesystem one, where do I get the MAIN firmware? The website I looked on doesn't have them. Anyone recommend any places as to where to accquire them?

A Japanese website. But no bother.

There is a "S500_R8BA024_MAIN_GENERIC_LY_RED52.rar" here. Would I need to get hold of a filesystem firmware too, or just flashing this, would it be fine?

I'm sorry for all these questions, you must be getting rather annoyed I'm extremely appriciative, thankyou.

So, this new MAIN one from the linked site, along with the filesystem one I found earlier, combined together, would allow me to flash the phone with XS++, and NOT have any branded things?

RED means the EROM colour (red are retail, brown is a developer phone). and cid52 means the level of protection of the phone.

i am just about to flash a CID49 red k800i for my mate as well
