From what I can gather all you have to do is copy all the folders from the DVD to the root of the 8gb hard drive. When you disconnect the USB cable or restart your phone, it automatically begins the install. But I keep running into problems and not succeeded.

i fould out my prob.. i got the 6.0.1 dvd version!!!! need the 6.0.2 or higher!

i managed to get my mates 6.0.2 version.. i put it on my phone in 'fast file transfer' mode, change the file transfer mode to normal, tomtom installer pops up sayin
software name : tomtom nav..
version: 6.02(7900)
supplier: tomtom-en
i press install, it hangs a sec or 2 then the installer screen vanishes and then no thing.. no error msg or owt!
there is no tomtom program in my tools folder..
BUT its listed in my uninstall list!! HEELLPPP
ANY ONE WHO HAS INSTALLED IT TO A W960.. plz confirm the installer details!

I have a couple of W960i and have Tom Tom loaded on both. They both work very well apart from sometimes when using the Tom Tom the phones go into auto keylock, which means the screen gets smaller and eventually goes black.
Is there a way to avoid this apart from the obvious and not having the auto keylock on.
This never used to happen when I used Tom Tom on my P990i
