Dude, there is no JP-9! JP-8 is the newest. Those features you name (instant messaging/chat and presence based functionality, handling banking, payment transactions, user identification and authentication through secure encryption technology) is what MSA can be used for and that's part of JP-8. It's a mistake in the white paper if that's said anywhere.

That should explain the new menu and the improved media manager, too!
That's good!

Nope, that's just A200.

Hi all,

Sorry to be a kill joy but since when was what SE said in a white paper actually worth anything, they either remove things they either didn't or couldn't implement at a later date. The latest case of this is the sudden removal of the location free TV from the P1 white paper not forgetting the Optimobile app it was meant to ship with in the first place. Unfortunately what SE say and do are rarely the same thing anymore.

Marc

It's got nothing to do with "what SE say and do are rarely the same thing", it has more to do with a fact that a white paper represents a concept model, not the final serial-production (this is very important, the serial) model... And since they're e.g. aiming at a 299 Euro price tag, some features will undoubdtably left out since the are too expensive to be included in a final mass-market product... Same thing is with cars, just take a look at the upcoming Detroit motor show, many concepts that will be displayed cost several times of their final mass-production price... Sure they could sell the concept Chevrolet Volt (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chevrolet_Volt), but what would it cost? 350000 $ for a sedan?

Indeed, and they will also feature JP-9, but so far there are no phones with JP-9. Either way, this is off-topic.
