I also use the P1i with the HBH-DS220,and i do not agree with you.the sound volume and quality is just the same as with the HPM-82
i use different headphones, usually Bose onear,if you talk about quality it is much better if you talk about volume it is just the same...cable or bluetoot.
the volume level is just too low compare to older model that i know (W800i),with both headsets the W800i has about 30% more volume,on the w800i i have never used the maximum volume ,was just too loud,p1i maximum is not enough.

I have to agree. I have gone from my 5.5g Ipod to W960 and man, the volume just isnt there. On central line going around the bend at bank you cant hear a thing over the screeching of the train and the rest of the journey - Audio quality isnt a factor coz all I can hear is squeek squeek! and I am using HPM-82s which have more volume than standard SE headphones. Might have to resort to my Ipod and Sennheiser HD212 Pros again. Couldnt hardly hear the tube noise at all with them. C'mon SE! Just make the phone pump more power out or something. Most of us charge it every night anyways so yea - MORE POWER PLEASE! (I say power because if you listen the K series you can definately hear the power drop at bass points, even with W drivers installed)
