I don't wanna spend much on a new phone but cos my E65 is under 4 months im hoping they will look at that and do something worthwhile!
im just fed-up that the phones spent more time being fixed than it has me using it, ok so Nokia fix it in 48hrs but I can't be going down Brum every 2 weeks for it lmao!
it's a second phone the first had many probs and was replaced under the 14day warranty then I got the 2nd one 2weeks into using it switches of lol

Well hello Kerry. Bad luck with that phone its such a pig when you sign up to a contract and all you get is something which does not work. Did you know i had a little bit of debt written off 2 years ago all gone now but the Citizens Advice said to me that mobile phone contracts are not worth the paper they are written on plus people who dont pay never get taken to court cos there worth nothing not in the way of law on their side. Anyway did i tell you i got a Scottish surname of Burns i say that cos you say your from up there. Sean Patrick Anthony Burns. Though my mothers was from posh part of Dublin called Dalkey. Nice place Bono lives near there too i seen his house. Anyway im going off subject again. LOL. God i keep getting carried away. Good luck with that phone let me know what happens.

Ok, first of all, I appologize for how I sounded earlier, bad time of the day for me and I see so many kids waste money like that that I kinda jumped to conclusions, so I'm very sorry
Secondly, it's not just O2 that don't offer data cables, from what I'm aware it's not part of the sales package. But it's MiniUSB, so you don't really need one, their like £1 from Poundland lol.
As for the law, I can swear on many things that yes, they are worth the paper they're printed on and yes, they will do whatever they can to claim back money.
One of my friends was having severe money troubles and couldn't pay his 18 month O2 contract about 3 months into it. He kept not paying the bills and they got bigger and bigger, they cut him off after the first month, sent several demands before finally, two burly blokes turned up, unannounced, on his doorstep (with ID, obviously) saying they've come on behalf of O2, gave him a little card with his details written on it and said if he didn't pay the money back he owed them week by week (in little bits) then they'd come back and start taking things.
This scared the shit out of him and he began paying for it with his job seekers allowance, and since then he's got a job and paid it all off.
So it can happen.

Its cool its ok i understand my brother has 4 kids i never plan to marry or have any i value my freedom too much. Anyway dont worry i know what you mean when people say have won the lottery and they completely blow it all on god knows what normally things they dont even need. And kids yes they do waste money and i have done so myself. We all live and learn. Spend a little save a little my mother used to say. I was also saying i had a friend who never paid 600 quid on her vodafone contract and they just gave up and never persued it but its on her name now. Oh and im getting that inheritance in late spring from Ireland. I then plan to use most of it to move perhaps up north somewhere quieter and get a job.

I forgot to say about data cables. Some shops want you to buy them from their stores so you spend more. Though i got a card reader and my god its faster than the data cable. I transfered all of U2s albums to my mobile in couple of mins. What i hate is SE Disc to Phone software. God how slow is that software.

Companys should refuse people who are on benefits these leisure activities anyway, im seeking work I didn't exspect Vodafone to sign me upto a contract with them and I was worried about this when I left 02 cos I though until I had a supportive job i'd be stuck to them..
Surprisingley Voda didn't mind that I was outta work,
I bet if you were not working what were the chances of getting a loan?
Lloyds TSB offered me one weeks ago
it so shocking how these companys don't care at the prospects which you are in Sorry if I sound like a Finance Geek lol
I would love a Job advising people about Debt
I need a contract cos the exspense of Topping £40 per month is a waste of my money
My Mobile world sim I top it up about every 2 years
Still no email from Vodafone,
although I think they've been phoning me up every day this week about this phone related issue I just haven't took the call
last time they rang me they extended my contract and when they went to take the cash out they couldn't and without phoning me to ask what was going on they blocked my phone,
I wasn't happy and phoned them up and made them read back my banking details till now everythings ok!
I had my phone activated for international calls the other day no questions asked Voda done this, they offered me insurance and stop the clock for £11 added per month and I said no, if you ain't persist with these people and let them take you for a mug then your mistaken!
I hope they get back to me on that phone,
i'd kindley exchange both my phones E65 and N80 for a newer handset anyway fingers crossed they will consider this
Sean, im also 30 this year there are alot of kiddies here but you need to try and advise them carefully

My gosh you wrote a long story there that was interesting. Wow. I worry about contracts but its nice to have one. Im working now as a Security Guard got out of hotel industry rubbish pay even as a Duty Manager that i was. Anyway my credit status is poor but i have no debts now but Orange still offered me a contract i passed their checks but i said no in the end. Tempted though. And as regards to kids i love my nieces and nephews but none of my own and i do love kids. Lol i dont plan to get married but will have relationships. Anyway back to mobiles erm when i get that inheritance i would love to get a phone with wi fi too would love N95 8 giga byte. I tried one in Vodafone shop as it was on display and its fab. Its alot faster too than the N73 i used to have. Great phone. Or maybe a SE with wi fi but NO JOYSTICK. Lol.

Consider the N82, seems like a better phone overall, better camera, real camera flash, expandable memory and cheaper and more durable, and possibly longer battery too.

Not all companys are rushing to give credit, I'm with o2 but was knocked back for a contract a while back , I guess thats because I have no credit rating based on the fact I had nothing on credit, no debts no loans, nada but plenty of cash in the bank, grrrr makes me cross that people in debt can get more based on debt ratings .
I'm on a 2yr one now, would i need to keep my phone for the full 2 yrs before upgrading on o2 or can it be done earlier ??? (you can guess this is my 1st contract phone)

Actually oddly enough i forgot about the N82. I read a review of it in What Mobile magazine and they took pictures with it in Paris at night and the pictures were amazingly noise free and very crisp. But i did read that the processer is slower in favour of better battery but i dont know for sure im sure though thats what i read. Great phone though one i would consider. I have not had a SE Smartphone since P990i on Vodafone a long time ago. Will see what comes up in near future but i dont wanna buy a phone when its new as i cant be dealing with all the software bugs i dont have patience for it. Nor do i have the net at home im always on this site using my Opera browser on my phone. Will be buying laptop soon though and getting plug in internet thing on 3. Cant wait.
