Aha, but it is not the nokia.com website, is it?
nobody likes flashy stuff. all the major websites like google.com, microsoft.com, cnet.com are simple and no nonsense websites
Microsoft is not a flashy website? erm, ok, maybe not in your country, but the global website is extremely flashy and very nice. Furthermore, Microsoft makes use of Silverlight which makes the websites look even more cool.

Nokia's site get's improved, although i find it less eye catcher than SE's. Flashy looks are sometimes important factor to add popularity of the Website as well as the company itself.

Google. wikipedia, etc. don't have flashy looks because the fuunction of these kinds of sites is centered around finding info.
On the other hand, SE's site is a more commercial one. It's main function is to promote SE phones and accessories.
Let's not forget that an attractive presentation is the key to a successful product!

Not every one will like red, yellow and green color.they r very Contrasting to eyes. And could distract the user and be annoying, where as white on other hand is universal.which none of them dislike. And with white background.its easy to read the text and find the information u need with ease which is more important.
