Samsungs are good phones but the 2 things i dont like are you cant automatically save camera pictures to memory card and also cant use mp3 as message alerts which means i cant use my Father Ted comedy clips as message alerts.

that's what i was thinking. some nokia non-candybar seem to suffer from dodgy build quality. they really should stick with candybars because they don't seem to have many problems. in fact, nokia candybars are quite reliable.
as for SEs, more than half of the people that have owned them that i know of have had problems with them. SEs may have a reasonably nice and customisable UI, generally good battery life, and great java, but as far as reliability is concerned, they're not worth touching with a barge pole. that situation still hasn't changed since the days of the t610.
as for samsungs, i find them to be the most reliable of all the major manufacturers, both in terms of hardware and software.
the samsung soul seems to be awesome!

you can. on my u600, pics are automatically saved to phone memory, and vidoes are automatically saved to memory card.
my u600 can have a different custom tone for each of calls, SMS, MMS, alarm, broadcast messages and push messages.
so can the g600 and many other samsungs.

In my Homeland it's the opposite that's happening. Nokia phones were the most popular brand here and at the same time they are the most popular brand in the eyes of the service center/repair shops as well (that's when we visit mobile phone repair shops here

Out of all the phones that were listed at the beginning of this thread the N95-8GB wins hands down. Ease of use, camera, video quality, MP3 capabilities, WI-FI. The ultimate convergence device.......
