My GDFS is fine so SETool says so I shall back that up.
I don't have access to downloads on Topsony.
Any ideas where I can get the latest EROM from? Does it matter that i'll have new EROM and old software?

the cid needs to match. - you cant downgrade cid in the erom..
the best way is to use wotan -- it wont use any credits (connect with 2+5).

Using SeTool2 lite 1.11 we can fix this problem by this way.
Download SeTool lite 1.11:

Start SeTool 2 lite
Press Unlock\\Repair Button, The first button.
Reinsert Battery
Connect phone holding 2+5
Wait, SeTool 2 lite will repair the EROM, it will flash it back.
Done
Now you can start your phone.

It seems I need credits to get a user name and password though?

Yes you will need to buy a wotan credit, or use some ones login. - It wont actually charge you a credit to repair erom but it will check to see if the account is active.
No guarantee's on any of this. This is just what I would do to try to save it.
