I was flat broke after I got my p990 but still found the money to go and get Ds970 BT headset just so that I could listen to my music which I could not do reliably within two days of getting my phone due to the silly fast port.

Then, you have the Radio that becomes no use because the fast port broke.
On top of that though it is just too big to have that male end of the plug sticking out of the phone. It is highly unfashionable even if it works properly.

Why not just go back to the 3.5 like on the 910i.

It is then obvious that you people don't know how to plug accessories in and out of the connector port. You will of course break it if you simply pull it out and thereby are ruining the "lock mechanism" in the connector.

Are you joking or what? You are talking to people who have been fans of
Sir,when I sold my p990 after having it for almost one year it did not have one single scratch on it. Not on the screen, not on the body. The only thing wrong with it were the bugs and the fast port which was gave trouble the first day I had it and tried updating it on the stand. I say that to let you know that I take very very good care of my loved ones.

You are justifying an ugly looking thing. Even if it was a good move it is highly unfashionable to have such a big plug for radio and music. No two ways about that.

I have had about a new SE mobile every year, K850, k770, k750, P990 and they have all had the same problem with the "fastport" and i know how to use it, its not a damn NASA Ship we are talking about its just a handsfree.

Have to agree that fastport is one of the worse connector solutions on the mobile phone market today. The connector is just too big for connecting a few wires to the metal contacts, as Ive said in the w890 thread. Its too fragile and then Se had the genius idea to put such a big connector on the side of the phone. on the w890 the connector is thicker than the phone! And a third of the width of the phone.

Its time for SE to replace fast port.

I am not joking at all.

I'd bet 90% of the users here are plugging cables out their phones in a wrong way..

I'd bet you would lose.

Come on. Admit that the fast port is too big and highly unfashionable in addition to being easily damaged. It has little to do with how individuals plus in or out their apparatus.
Stop making broad statements and address the specifics mentioned here like having to plug in the fast port to get radio and too listen music. These would have been much off done through a 3.5mm jack.

i hate the fast port just because it gives up after a while on my old k750i it started to give up, now on my k800i it's starting to give up i have to connect things a couple of times before the phone reconises them, the fast-port on my w300i is fine but's that because i don't use it much.
