My T610 bluetooth isn't working, and neither is the serial connection (cable). So I just used My WM handset connected to my home wifi to download T610 themes, then sent them from there to my T610 via Infrared.

I don't know about your bt dongle and etc... but the bluetooth should work for standard file transfer operations...

I'm not saying all T610's bluetooth don't work. I'm talking about MY T610, which has experienced being thrown into a gyprock wall at high speed I had to rebuild it in a new housing, but some things have never worked after the impact, for example the bluetooth.

But yes for any fully working T610, bluetooth works a treat

Hey Max did you ever use a bluetooth headset with the T610 you have? I got a new Jawbone bluetooth headset as a gift and it works with my T610 only when it's like one foot away. lol. Could this be because the Jawbone is v2.0 bluetooth and my T610 is v1.0?

Just a question...

By the way here's my T610 in case anyone's wondering what it looks like. It's not your normal T610... I modded the OEM silver keypad and used red led's, also added a black on OEM silver housing. I had my T610 unlocked last weekend too. Right now I'm looking for a good dual sim card adaptor so I can put two sim cards from different companies in my T610, but I don't know if it would work with my T610. I'm thinking of getting a "magic sim" as a dual sim adaptor which are sold widely on ebay and can be found at their website. http://www.magicsim.com

I never got around to trying bt headset with my T610.

I suppose the dual sim should work, but I've never tried them. It would be quite handy if they do. What's the process for switching between sims?

Well here's the video of how you fit two sims into the adaptor:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ISUw4wfh_sE

& here's a video showing how to switch between sims through your menu:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70GTcNVHpTA

[Once the adaptor is in the phone it creates a menu option even if your phone never had it, to switch between sims manually or timed the way you like it. Magic sim is great for people that travel and cross borders who need to be on different networks, people who want privacy with another subscribed or pre paid line, keeping one business and one family line, etc. You can even rename the networks so you don't have to see the damn phone company name on your phones desktop screen.]

If you go to http://www.ebay.com and go to the phones/sim cards section, you can type "dual sim" and 100's of adapters will pop up in your search. I believe "Magic Sim" is the most used and famous one in Asia. Youtube.com also has tons of videos if you type "dual sim" in a search. The magic sim supposedly works in every gsm phone with 2g or 3g even. But there are reports by some on the net that say some phones just don't work with it. The adaptors are about $10 with shipping so it's worth a try. You have to cut your sim card though, but they also sell adapters which don't require cutting. But those aren't really recommended as they get bent too much or make the phone's battery compartment fatter by a tiny bit. I'm just thinking of copying my two different network sims to new blank sim cards. I don't know how to do it since I never have but I assume it would be easy. Than I can cut the backup sims and use them in the adaptor and keep the others for safe keeping.

No matter if the phone is modded.. The BT is the same...

@max wedge... the dual sim as far as i know works like this... You have aption in your phone to use line 1 and line 2 (practically line 0 and line 1)... The first sim card works on line 0 and if you want to use the another, you switch to line 1 .

ta, makes sense. Some ofthe early dual sims I saw required a phone restart to swap betwen lines. This sounds much more user friendlky

You still have to cut your sim card... Well that goes for some dual sim adapters. Some do not require cutting... But as mentioned you can just go to your local phone shop and have both of your sims duplicated on backup empty sim cards. Than you can cut up the backup sims which is a exact 1:1 copy of your original sim, and place those in the adapter. Just make sure you never use both the back up and original sim card in two different phones at the same time or else your cell phone provider will block your number. They do this thinking that your sim is stolen and copied by a thief.

I wouldn't recommend the adapters that don't require the cutting of sim cards because they seem frail. Those adapters will probably tear away over time and ruin since they have to be placed in odd positions in your phone up against the battery.
