the media player updating the list when u load it...is coz its actually indexing the music files by artist and album...not just showing them as files...thats why it takes a little longer...and shows the percentage at first!!
u could still be rite about it being java coz it appears in the running apps bit of the phone...where i havent seen firmware OS apps there!!!

3 year contract? Sheesh! We have up to two years on our standard contracts here and I think they're too long! Vodafone AU has started bringing 12 month contracts back in. I don't think phones were built to last that long LOL
