Hi haynesycop!
OK So I can synch it with my PC's Outlook, I can get all my contacts and appointments in Japanese?
OK Found the answer in the iPhone PDF!
...Follow the onscreen instructions in iTunes to activate iPhone and sync iPhone with your contacts, calendars, email accounts, and bookmarks on your computer.
A single checkmark in “Set Up Your iPhone” syncs all these items automatically

@ofiaich: use the new winpwn software from the iphonedev team. Here is a link to it:
http://www.winpwn.com/index.php/Main_Page
Its a port of the original one for macosx. Lets you unlock, change the boot screen, add custom software payloads, and even make your own restore packages that itunes thinks are original.

@haynesycop! not yet! Been away for a few days.
I can't decide whether to go for a 32 gig iPod Touch or a 160gig Classic.
I know the Touch has that cool factor!
@Johnex thanks for that! I am completely new to this, so that procedure looks a bit scary !
I can see there is a forum on that site so I willl have a read !
slow to make a decision Ofiaich

Because the 32gb touch is too expensive and for watching videos the extra screen is pointless.

@masseur - thanks for the link! I see the 32 gig Touch
here for £295.45
and
here for £299.95.
E-Buyer is just a 45 minute drive from me! I wonder if they allow collection !
@thomas93 - but surely the small screen on the Classic doesn't give a good viewing experience as compared with a larger screen ?
Touch - 3.5-inch (diagonal) widescreen Multi-Touch display
480-by-320-pixel resolution at 163 pixels per inch
Classic - 2.5-inch (diagonal) colour LCD with LED backlight
320-by-240-pixel resolution at 163 pixels per inch
I guess the Wi-Fi (802.11b/g) on the Touch makes it more desirable for me!
