Hi bavlondon,
I love my k850i, poss the best phone I've had. Having said that I've had two big problems with it.
1. Lots of dust gets between the glass cover over the lens cover. I've sent it in repair to clean it up but within days it was back to how it was. I've since taken off the glass lens cover.
2. I banged the phone (not that hard) and the touch sensitive buttons stopped working. I again sent it in for repair and they've been working fine since. However now I'm scared of it happening again, you definitely cant treat it like an old w800!
Despite these things I still really like the phone, especially since the recent firmware upgrades.
I got mine back in December and is a week 37 build so maybe the problems i've mentioned have been fixed?

How can you tell what build it is? I need to ideally find someone who has bought one like this week or very recently.
As for removing that lens cover is that not a bit risky? And does doing that not void the warranty?
With the touch buttons thats what I hope wont happen with the C902. SE showed they cant fix things from one UIQ device being rehashed to another so my thinking is will they make the same mistakes with the C902.
Will BROD soon be replaced with BLOD (blue line of deathL C902) lol

get the k850i it's half the price it has a bigger a focal length than the c902
c902 = 4.2mm
k850 = 5.2mm
also the k850 has a proper xenon flash, not a led flash with a stupid name.

Yeah I was actually looking for focal length figures of the C902 but no one came back to me on that until now so thanks.
I think I will wait a little longer until SE fixes more bugs in the K850 and then go for it. Hopefully they will eventualy fix all the bugs lol

You can see what week build it is by removing the battery and pulling out a small piece of white card (you might need tweasers to get at it tho) with such information as the imei.
As for removing the glass its stuck on with a thin sticky back plastic in a O shape. The glass easily pops off this. I guess I'd be able to put it back if I found a decent sticky back plastic. Otherwise my warranty is void.
I have had the phone for a while now though, if it were brand new I'd be annoyed with dust behind the glass, but if its been fixed in newer models then thats a good thing.

I prefer the N82 myself and it takes better pictures i think and better video and phone is more robust. K850 has been disaster from day one dont phone manufactuers ever test their phones before release. Makes me wonder.

sounds like the K850 is the right option for you. I wouldnt hold my breath on the c902 camera quality, esp with the focal length much lower than the K850, and the lack of xenon flash.

If i am right i saw laffen's C902 shot's EXIF data and it says that the focal length is 5.18mm
@bav:
Patience my friend, a little more waiting makes your satisfaction better

SE is scheduled for a storm of announcements and release this month, and we may as well see Shiho soon. so be patient
