I think by "back" he meant "backwards". Look at the first post, about the screens going from 3" to 2.8" to 2.4".. I think he's right, SE stopped evolving.

How can SonyEricsson give their phones the Walkman name when sound is a joke. My Nokia 6500 Classic has amazing dynamic sound with solid bass no muffling great stereo effect and beats any Walkman phone i ever heard. I returned my W910 the sound was so bad with any headphones and sounded tinny and muffled. Come on SonyEricsson.

I don't know what the difference between my P910i (I still use it even today) and the one you use(d) but build quality on the P900/910i is nowhere good. Don't get me wrong, my P910i is the best Sony Ericsson I've ever used and I've used a few and also got rid of them but the P910i. I'll never get rid of this phone.

Talk about build quality. I think P800 is one of them.. got it new, still working..
And W910 build quality is excellent too..
Few of them sux and few of them has excellent build quality.--

so very true. The X1 was SE's last hope and now that has been delayed to the end of this year which is far too late as usual. Such a pity, especially when you remember the K750 and W800 duo. Such brilliant quality at the time, nothing could beat them! And now we are left with average recycled phones that should have been released last year or the year before that!

for me the quality is rally good, much better than the P990i, and looks really classic and unique ..

Classic and unique indeed. my P910i is quite special to me, I just feel it lacks in the build quality. The casing creaks and the coating rubs off. Having used my T610i- now there's a beautifully and solidly built phone- for a full two years I expected better from the P910i. I actually regret letting go of my T610i.

The build quality of the P990 is in fact very good. Compared with all the "new" stuff SE has come up with since the P990, I still have no intention of giving up my P990, in fact, I got a second one for a real cheap price to use for hacking experimentation.
If SE decided to come up with a P991i model with 128 MB RAM, it would still top any device SE has announced since.
So how long has it been exactly since SE was able to surprise us with a device like the P900? Too long. I can just see bad management on SE's every level. Perhaps Paris was never meant to be the new flagship device but SE's advertisement boys mistakenly gave that appearance.

If the author thinks that K610/K618/V630 and K630/V640 are just rehashed K750's without Autofocus, then it's him who's backwards.
The K750i UI really does look ancient these days, even V800/Z800 looks a little dated next to a V630i let alone the fabulous A200 platform in my V640i.
