SE have been making UIQ phones for a long time, so of course they know what they're doing with them. This is their first WM phone, which is something to point out.

I had my sights set on the X1 until I read that it has been pushed toward the the year then I changed my mind. I still think the X1 is the better of the two.

Sure, because devices don't need drivers to work right, do they?
I have no idea what that means but dont even try defending SE against HTC. SE hasnt even perfected UIQ and god knows for how long have they been making them.

Nope. If it was anything concerning HTC devices then let it be known I have no interest in them or any other WM device so i dont know any news relating them.

Well for the past year or so HTC was quite famous for the fact that they didn't ship any kind of video drivers with their more recent phones (don't know exactly which), thus rendering them a pain in the ass to use.

Problem_Description: Dear sir, madam,
I have a htc TYTN II, bought it as office/multimedia PDA. Now i discovered that movies my old phone can't play smooth on my TYTN II. how can this be since the TYTNII got a qualcomm with ati imageon chipset?
after some research i figured out that there are no drivers on the phone supporting hardware acceleration. So it's not possible to watch smooth video and play games.
Are there coming any software updates for this issue? because i think it's a little bit disapointing on a device of 700 euro.
Also the camera refreshes extremely slow (about 2 fps) in preview mode, wich make it impossible to take pictures in other situations then bright sunlight.
I hope to get a answer to my questions soon.

I do hope you haven't missed the fact the X1 being called a Multimedia power house only does 30fps VGA in 3Gp and only 15fps VGA in H.264 and that's just for Europe. The X1's for the US which is where i believe SE sees it's target market and wants to break with this device has no H.264 support at all.
Unfortunately just because SE says a device will be Multimedia power house or anything else really doesn't mean it is or will be. Also the panels app that they are now having problems with is going to use huge amounts of Ram. At least HTC have 192mb of Ram on the Diamond and i would imagine the same on Raphael the true X1 competitor so as to accommodate the 3D Touch Flow UI.
I know you are a great fan of SE and seem to believe everything they do is always the best just a shame they don't deliver on their promise. But until the X1 arrives no one can be sure just how good it will be or not so only time will tell.

For me, both these are going to be garbage. Purely because of the touchscreen technology not being able to match the responsiveness of the iPhone, because its designed for a stylus. that is if its still using the same screen tech as previous wm.
Nothing more annoying than having to flick the screen 10 times because the first 9 times were either ignored, where the iPhone works first time everytime.
If they get that right I'm interested.
