Don't worry about people like that - they are not all like him - most are decent people. Go for it, you can go for an IT job anytime.
Put your mind to it and the services can be a damn good career. Don't listen to those who have have had no experience. As I said, I was in the Navy for nearly 30 years, from the age of 17, and still work for the MOD.
Keep me and others, if they want, informed.

Mate, give them a call and go to the 1st interview, the 1st one is just for you and them to get to know each other, you don't have to sign anything.

nah,

i'm just about to start 6th form..

i've got the GCSEs already and i'm sure i'll be alright with the A levels,

but i'm not sure whether to apply for a college bursary as i'm not sure what it's like..

for example. i get a college bursary because i want to be a pilot but it means I have to join, what happens if I can't then be a pilot?

I'm not sure what happens mate it's all new to me lol.

A levels are ok, I stayed on at 6th form for 3 years and done 2 years of college and got a few A levels all at B and Pass grades.
Total number of interviews since Jan?

2,

One in Feb and 1 on Tuesday.

I've found it very hard, and looking back, I kinda wish I took my mums advice and joined when I was 17-18 and didn't go to college etc because it's not done a whole lot for me.

Hey,

Does anyone have any info on the recruiting process?

I want to know, on average, how long it takes from the first interview, to actually getting in to the RAF.

Because I may be getting a job next week as an ICT Trainee technician, and if I did, I would have to phone up and change the date of my first interview because it's on a Friday at 11am, so would probably be during my work time.
