Hi Mario,
UPNP and even DNLA have been around for quite a while but won't really start to hit mainstream or even be really useful until more TV's and equipment starts coming with it as a standard feature.
I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure that my N93 way back in September 2006 had UPNP and was one of the first devices to do so. Actually the N93 really was quite a breakthrough product and had quite a few first's for a smartphone. I'd still love to see a new version with the same form factor and powered by an OMAP3 chip or similar.
Marc
The n80 also had upnp marc...which was before the n93 if i remember correctly..

very nice and interesting device indeed, i would any day choose this over n96, really, because i'm not gonna use the DVB-H reciver or the 16GB built-in memory anyways.
8GB, a fm-transmitter and a compact size is fine for me

Its an N81 successor. From what i remember about "signature design" a range of phones eg. N81, N85, and N96 will share a design, and in this specific range of phones bring something new eg. N81-Ngage, FP2 transitions, Gaming keys.
N85- AMOLED screen
N96- large mass memory (16gb internal) with expansion, 1st globaly released DVB-H NOKIA handset.
* FP2 is more than just transitions btw.
* This design blends features of the N95 (specifically the dual slider - GREATLY improved), and gaming keys from the N81 but with the lighting features on those keys from the N96. Zooming function buttons have been changed to the outer keys that the N95/6 has as well - lighted with indicators; very nice.
* N96 is NOT the first globaly released DVB-H Nokia handset. The N77 was, and prior to that was the N92 being the true first (of course both don't have multi 3G bands for use outside of Europe though).
Someone mentioned that OLED had poor life. Original designs some 6yrs ago yes it did, but its been improved VASTLY and has more life than LED actually now in various versions - Sony has a 7" TV with 720HD already and working on a 40" version.
