No i was mucking about with the button thing, i think i`ve solved the downloads thing (it is using BT which i have used to send videos to it very successfully), but i have another problem, i have changed the ring tone,sms alert AND reminders alert, but i notice that the voicemail tone is different in flip open mode to flip closed mode neither of which seem to be changable (replaceble),any ideas.

Sorry I can't help you with that as my network operator doesn't support voice mail notification.
