Its funny when people complain about 1cm of water...atleast for me. I do realise it might be unusual in the Uk. Right now its flooded in Northern India with a river changing its course and washing everything away in its way. How does a 14 km wide wall of water, over 6 feet high sound? Over a million affected. Scores dead. . I seriously think you folks are better off. Not to offend anyone.. I just found this difference between a developed and a developing nation quite stark. Whats big for you isn't even newsworthy for us. . I hope someone got the gist of what i'm tryin to say.

Yeah, I hope we get loads of snow this winter - 6ft of snow, so we don't have to go to work for a two weeks because there are no trains or buses.

The UK is dead sissy when it comes to snow. Just the mere hint of snow and the whole country comes to a standstill.

I think so too. We just aren't used to extreme weather in the UK. As soon as a couple of flakes of snow fall there is absolute pandemonium, whilst in places like NY they have proper 6ft blizzards and people just get on with it.

Well ya know what happened to me today. The situation where you are walking along the street and no matter how careful you watch the traffic some driver manages to soak you going through a huge puddle. Luckily i was near home and went back and changed my clothes. Regarding snow when i was a kid back in the eightes growing up we used to have tons of snow nearly every winter in this country. But for quite some years now we dont get much here. I remember we used to wake up in the morning to 4 feet of snow blocking the front door. I loved it as a kid ya do but i still love it.
