@619
about the logo in the viewfinder, you said you did a master reset as in the one in control panel>>device and it didnt happen again? Havent tried a master reset yet kasi. Have done a ton of those 10sec power resets. seems like I have to do it more often now, like at least twice a day.

does anybody know if the new firmware addresses this warning sign prob?

Does someone here really have the video messaging app?

yes i can take pictures but it's harder. hehe.

the problem like i said, happens once every week at least.

but the yellow triangle that asks you to press the power button for 10 secs happens even when my battery is fully charged pa.

i just hope they fix this in the next firmware.

i'm just curious. have you joined the P800 yahoogroup I posted?
There'll be more apps soon.

Guys, there's something I've noticed... SE users LOVE returning their phones. The Communicam bug is NOT a hardware defect... You will find it in ALL P800's...no matter how many times you return and replace your phone with your dealer.

It's a FW bug. Which means, that your current unit is ok. ALL P800s running the same FW will have the same bugs! I think we all just got spoiled with the T68m->T68i upgrade thing.

I'm very impressed with the low defect turnout of the P800. Sony really did a good job of lowering Ericsson's defect ration.

Other than a few reports of the mic not working AT ALL... I haven't heard of any major hardware defects in a P800.

FW on the other hand, that's SE's and Symbian's problem. We want the promised FW... I want it in cute, white, SE CDs, not some CD-R that I had to buy! I think SE should give the earlier P800 buyers free CD replacements with the Opera browser (that was promised), more languages, and the video recorder software.

Other than that... I'm happy with it. It's built a lot better than I expected. (And that's a lot, since I've owned nothing but Ericssons since the GH688 days...no I never reached the GH388)

Oh, and I hope they release a silver/gray case for it like what they did with the T68i.

my 1st unit had the mic/speaker problem and it was a legit problem.
2nd unit: yeloow triangle appears a couple of times per day talaga.

now on my 3rd unit. acceptable now. i agree that all the problems I'm experiencing now are firmware-related.

in my case, i was fortunate enough i guess to experience only 2 resets in my 2 weeks of using my unit. hopefully, it stays that way.

I agree w/ jplacson. SESS should give the upgrade CD for FREE! This message was posted from a P800
