Yes go for the E51, it has a very fast UI, great Web browser with Flash content support, great battery life, TONS AND TONS of useful software and games if you want some entertainment, its only letdown is the camera but otherwise great phone and brilliant build quality.
the e51 has only 802.11g

Do yourself a favour and DONT get a N80. Yes it had a brilliant screen, but its battery life was crud, the slider's ribbon suffers from wear and tear, the slider can get sticky, slow UI, can ONLY take up to 2GB MiniSD cards, little RAM,and it's camera wasnt that great. The E51 offers loads of RAM to view large pages in the Web browser and still be able to multitask, it has great battery life, very fast UI, supports even 16GB Memory cards, has s60 FP1, and in general its better than a N80. I liked my N80 but moving to a N81 a few months after getting the N80 was the best move ever, the N80 sucked at Multitasking, and opening a large Web page would mean shutting down every other app in the background.

Is that phone even out yet? The OP is looking for a cheaper handset and IIRC, the G705 will cost 350 euros at launch. For that kind of money, I'd prefer to buy a 5800 tube or two P1is.

E65 is the cheapest downunder, but N95 has come down in price alot and would be my pick until the G705 arrives. iPod Touch is worth a look too if you don't mind carrying two devices.

well i find e51 and n80 both relatively cheaper then the e65.... just can not decide.... n95/n82 are dream phones.... bundled with everything that i could ever want or need.... but as of now, wi-fi is my main concern along with a decent camera + cheap....
