I use it when my school's wlan network's clogged.
Usually I would use my phone as a HSDPA wireless modem using Joikuspot, so that my friends can access the Internet on their laptops.
It's especially useful when it's projects' season, where everyone would just bring their laptops and connect to the school's network all day. HSDPA is really speedy compared to the saturated wlan.

Facebook + MSN chatting. Thats basically for killing time. A phone is too inconvenient to anything else for fun on internet

I find being able to google things hyper-useful. Mobile Wiki access is also a major plus. Great for resolving arguments with friends over disputed facts
Not to mention pricing and product specs. I've saved a lot of hassle (and money) just by being able to look up prices or specs while in a store.

Basically mobile web has so many uses its impossible to list all but it comes down to convenience and being able to access the internet form where ever you are.

It also doubles up as a modem too.

I do that too. But those are once in a blue moon things. I was merely mentioning stuff i do every day
