I personally would have thought it a photo competition in the sense of composition and style rather than a dickfest of "My camera is better than yours"
If it's being judged on whose camera takes better photos then the point has been lost, especially considering early competitions were won with 2MP non autofocus cams.....

It's not; my point about that it should reflect the mobile phone's camera abilities and the user's was not to trigger a "dickfest", but rather trying to get the max of the limitations of a mobile phone's camera.
An example, the previous month's comp was won with a
P1i's 3.2mp cam, not one of the newest 2008 cameraphone offerings (not that megapixels are the be-all and end-all, as we know, but rather reference to newer processors/cam modules, lenses etc too).
If my response in my previous post has caused any ambiguity about this (to anybody), then sorry but that certainly wasn't my intention.
