> GPRS service on globe hi-memory SIMs

just bought two ordinary globe sims yesterday for only 270 each. 0916xxxxxxx, called globe customer service and after few hours, activated na siya. try to call the landline customer service instead of 211.

san pala niyo binili yung sim? ako kasi sa globe, galleria. tapos pinagtatanong ako ng name, add, etc. nung customer service representative. ayun, activated na.

The thing is, I can see the GPRS indicator fully on top of the GSM signal but when you press the volume control, it doesn't show GPRS access unlike with the old one.
I can access WAP but is reeeeaaaalllyy slow. Most of the time, it gives me a connection error. Does this mean that I have to ask globe to activate GPRS?

yup they still do, i think its 179 or 199. they are still available at alabang town center.
