Got one of these last week, and I was nothing but impressed. It is definately faster than any other

phones, including the C905. GPS works like a charm, 30 sec on the first boot and 10 sec on warm boots. However, the real problems comes with its photos.
I used the A2uploader to change the audio driver, and with my HPM-77, this unit is just amazing.

Guys, just another question... See the picture on the first page where the G705 and the W910 are both in one picture... They seem so similar and the platform seems to be the same.

Would it work if we flash a G705 with W910 software? (except the wifi I know)

. What do you think?
I think flashing with a W705 firmware is better.
The battery life is really not that good though, as I have push-mail on all the time, it barely last a day.

Hmm don't know still.. Haven't tried anything. I said and asked just to see what you think... I am a bit curious about crossflashing the DB3150 phones.

Be sure to make a backup of the Cam driver and then try using a k800 Cam driver, you should get the max quality of its 3mp,SE has the speciality to use Cam drivers that exploit only 60% of the camera potentiality

Be aware that the W705 doesn`t have a GPS unit. By crossflashing a G705 to W705 you`ll probably lose GPS functionality.

Island! We have the same taste in phones!
Lugging around the N95 gets a bit tiresome at times. Still not sure if I can give up all its good features. VGA video and the symbian OS. The G might be right up my girlfriend's alley.
Let me know if you have time how Opera mini, Fring and Google Maps work on it. From the pictures it looks like one sexy phones.

but the k800 cam driver utilizes AF and the G705 does not have AF right? so how can it work?

SIGHUP, I guess we do have a similar taste in phones
I seldom use video. I use photo more. The X1 also records VGA. I use opera sometimes in X1 have yet to try on G. There is already a built in youtube application on G705 but i have yet to try it. I can live with its original browser.
I spent my weekend with only G705 in my pocket. I purposedly left X1 and N95 at the office. I survived. Browsing at wifi hotspot was a smooth affair. Texting was an enjoyable affair. GPS lock in was fast (less than 1 min). The built in Walk mate application run as wallpaper. Captured few photos (result was so-so). Blast in mp3 to aux port in the car. With medium usage, wifi, gps, photo etc, the battery lasted for 2 days only.
