I'm just wondering why photos made before december cannot enter to this contest? this rule limits the willingness to take part in the competition. I think that many people have nice photos but they can't post them. looks like more important thing is 'when' not 'what'

I think it is good because then people have to actually go out and take specific photos for the months theme

On a car-related forum I am a member of we have a scavenger hunt thread where you have to get photos of your car near things or in certain situations and it is great fun not relying on historic images

Quick question - are we allowed to use photo editing software (Irfanview/Photoshop etc.) to reduce the noise & add some special effects (blur, stain etc.)?

yes, it was taken with my K850i but i edited it with photoshop lightroom
