Whats the difference with flashing via Davinci and totalgsm compared to SEUS ??? I assumed that now that SEUS completely wipes your phone when you install new firmware that it did the same job as the others.

And why cant SEUS fix an EROM fault , installing a fresh firmware made zero difference to mine.
Sorry to butt in and ask, just trying to get my head round how this works with 3rd party and not the manufacturer in case o2 dont fix mine.

If K&N is one of the 'better' ones then I hate to think what the others are like. What network are you with? Did they supply the C702?

Flashing with Davinic/total gsm re-installs the software and lets you choose what one to install, e.g. going from vodafone to generic unbranded. SEUS will install the latest version of the software already on the phone, e.g. giving you the latest software that is voda branded if the phone is voda branded.

You could always flash your K850 with your operators firmware and they wouldn't notice

SEUS only has the facility to flash the firmware side.It doesn't have the ability to flash the EROM (boot system/bios type of thing) wheras other 3rd party applications have enabled this feature on their servers.

just an update. I called up s.e service centre today. Spoke to a guy called Johnny. He said to me that any repair under the warranty will be covered free of charge, this is the software related part of the repair. he also mentioned that if the LCD needs replacing then its about £50 but I advised that does not need replacing. So they have said thats fine then they will not replace that. I asked for a revised quote on the front facia of the phone only. So they have escalated my case and given me a new case reference number and they are going to get back to me on this one.

tbroe the c702 i am using right now, is one i got from my work using it as a spare.

Took the advisor's full name down etc this time so hope all goes well, will keep u guys updated.

Glad you got it sorted. Hope they've fixed it

At least your work supplyed you with a good phone just bought the C902, it's great but I'm feeling slighty guilty as I guess it was rather extravigant

Good to hear matey. If it is Khune & Nagel you've sent it to. They have a turnaround of 14 days or less.
