After the recent surge of SE's below average products most of us have started to be a bit skeptical. To me for example, the only SE products that really stand out right now are C905, T700, W902. Not because of their specs AND price, obviously.

The Omnia HD is not anything like the Pixon, besides having a touchscreen and running on battery power!

The Omnia HD and the Idou are very similar indeed, but the Omnia HD is quite large. It's very fast and has a massive screen, but it does look a bit basic compared to the sleek curves of an iPhone. Not sure why Samsung didn't sex it up.

The Idou obviously has the camera, with a proper flash, but they're essentially using the same OS (S60 5th Edition vs SF). Wasn't the prototype just running 5th Ed anyway?

@jmcomms

Isn't Omnia HD running on the same Samsung proprietary OS like the one on Pixon?

im not sure i could do without the 3.5mm jack since ive gotten so used to it on my X1.
the omnia HD is a complete phone, has everything but physical size is an important factor in my decision when getting a new phone. its a tad too tall although the HD video recording and 3.5mm jack sounds tempting.
Idou seems to hv the perfect size for me. the camera sounds promising.
either one of these is gona replace my X1 by the end of the yr. unless theres a more interesting model announced in the spring.

I agree that the best SE has to offer in their current lineup appears 'impressive' only to the eyes of SE fans and not to the next man on the street. I just feel that this thread should represent hope which I think is exactly what Idou is and what SE needs.

i hope the camera quality will be very good and it will not have build quality issues and the OS to be a very good one with few or no bugs or other issues
