i need to check out voda again since they were really poor where i live but that was over 5 years ago.
the thing that gets me is nothing is ever perfect. there are 3 areas that need good signal & none can do that at present - home, work & general countryside (say when traveling). 3uk & t-mobile are great in urban areas but terrible in the countryside. o2 & orange are better in the country (general) but can be non-existent in either home or work. so linking up like this can only be a good thing!

Wiki which says T Mobile have pencilled in 20Mb by 2011.
Of course there will have to be some suitably equipped devices to take advantage of such speeds but that great news for mobile broadband users.

O2 only is up to 3.2MB for speed. Also just to clarify Vodafone 7.2MB is only in London you get that speed, not across the whole of the UK.

Where did you get that from? I've been told countless times that certain parts of our network has been upgraded to 7.2Mb already.

Kinda wrong again mate, London Birmingham and Glasgow have had full roll out of 7.2MB since last september. lol

So therefore, O2's network, abeit not nationwide, is capable of 7.2Mb
More to the point, you got your terminology wrong. HSDPA is 'D' in the middle for 'download', where as HSUPA with 'U' in the middle is for 'upload'.
The difference being that HSDPA offers high speed downloads, and HSUPA offers high speed uploads. HSPA is the combined name for both technologies. There are varying speeds, but just by adding HSUPA to the network doesn't automatically make it 7.2Mb.

Is there any network difference between the speeds available for mobile 3G+ downloading and the same networks internet dongle (PC use) 3G+ downloading? i.e. would network A for instance allow/receive faster download on their dongles than on their phones? or is this just the same regardless?
