But its still minimal difference on battery saving with all the big battery draining features phones possess now. I had sensor before never made any difference to battery life. With it constantly going up and down in brightness that in itself drains battery power. Pointless. It also depends on your eyes sensitivity i dont have problem with bright glare in darkness. Nokia smartphones let you turn it off why not SE? Should be given the choice.

You should be able to deactivate it but with A200 it's stll not possible... Probably with Idou will... However, I think it can bu useful, sometimes in the night the brightness of the screen can be irritant...

Can't we already adjust the screen's brightness in the settings of most A200 phones? All the sensor is doing is saving you the task.

I think more stupid is to complain about that.

C'mon guys if the light sensor wasn't there you would be complaining about that too.

SE is a very big company with a very few employers who decide those kind of things and believe me if the light sensor wasn't necesary they wouldn't put it on almost all their phones and so Nokia and others.
