There's a trick around this actually, you need to install any older firmware first using A2 uploader, I did this and can re-update just fine. Careful with the CDAs though.

where do i find the firmware with the proper cda? Gtr83 is it drag and drop like the chat style sms? Not the most experienced with A2.....
