> Bluetooth - do u really use it?

I use it all time4my handsfree headset&to send piccys.ringtones.and names and tell No infact i was thinking of upgrading2orange s-p-v phone but it does.nt have bluetooth so it was a no no

I use BT a lot for connecting my laptop to the net. Data transmission speed is much better with BT than with IR. But the biggest advantage of BT is when i take my laptop to the beach. The signal is often very spotty at the beach, so i usually have to place the phone in a really weird spot to get decent signal. (like on the balcony railing or something) but i can still work from anywhere i want. No way IR could ever do that!

Internet-connection for my laptop in commuter trains,
synching contacts/organizer with my pc (includes making backups of the phone),
sending SMS's/MMS's using my laptop,
controlling my laptop with the joystick of my T68i (in presentations),
uploading things like backgrounds, imy's to the phone,
having fun with Nokia's
I'm sure I've forgotten a couple of things, but I could hardly live without Bluetooth

The price different between bluetooth phone and only IR phone is not that much. So why the fuss of debating between IR and BT? If you have money buy the BT, almost every BT Phone has IR in it.
For comparison, T39m in my country only cost about USD220, T300 is USD200, T68i only USD270. And we all know that T39 has BT and IR, T300 only have IR, T68i have BT and IR.

i would have to agree that bluetooth is way overhyped. i have never used it yet. i don't NEED a handsfree. I have a cradle for transfering files. sure things transfer faster with BT but i don't wanna buy one for my PC. i have not tried finding bricks yet, but that's the only thing that sounds cool about it...
Y would u surf the web on a pda when u have a P800???
i just use my P800 for everything so i don't really have to connect it to anything except my comp through the cradle, but hey it's prolly just me.
