i think n82 is best in 5mp, its focusing power is great at night, and it really takes cool n beautiful pics. Cant say in 8mp which is best.

It was on top for a while (although Plank would not admit it), and certainly I would take it over the k850 and c902 (because of lack of Xenon on c902), but the c905 and c901 have leapfrogged it and take better pics. And given the questioners criteria (best cam with minimal other stuff) the c901 is the way to go since it has great battery time and lacks the battery drainers of a WiFi and GPS.
On another note, I will do a c905 vs. c901 photo comparison sometime next week.
i must say, ur paragraph made me laugh..i'm presuming your joking..the n82 is far n away better than the c902..without a doubt...next idiot please..

I said the n82 is better then the c902. It's just not better then the c901.

Thanks for all the views. I've decided to buy a c901 - seems to be the best choice for me... Any recommendations for where to get hold of one in the UK? Seems like ordering from HK/Singapore/US is the only way out?

After owning them and after hundreds of pics i can say that c902 easily beats the n82 in good light and sunny conditions. But indoors and in bad light the n82 is better. The really sad thing with n82 is the extremely hard noise reduction. Trees, grass and things like that looks awful. But if you look at your pics in 800x600 this will not be that noticeable.
In c901 the best things come together, SE beautiful not that hard noise reduced pics in good light and outdoors and you have a real xenon flash that helps you indoors. Not as strong as the n82 but miles ahead of c902 and very usable in most "party-conditions". I also feel the focus system to be dead accurate if you just follow basic know how and not shoot against the sun and things like that. Colours are spot on... Easily the best cam i have ever used in a phone on this area..
Out of c901/c902/n82 i would rate the c901 as the best allround cam but the n82 as the best allround phone with GPS and Wifi, Nokia pre-loaded maps and so on....
