this is from information section in C901's camdriver
Code:info_name=1210_5576;
info_vendor=;
info_major_ver=2;
info_minor_ver=9;


but the coding syntax doesn't looks like a SAMSUNG or FOXCONN....because it was something new and different.

No offense brother but I have to say always people say that he/she is a photographer (sometimes professional) when they talk about some photos.

Why do you think Samsung makes crap camera or camera phones? By any chance did you hear about, M8910 Pixon12, i8910 Omnia HD, i8510 INNOV8? Do you think those are crap camera phone?

W902 is not the same quality as C902, W902 is worse. Maybe they have the same module, but the quality is different. I know that by experience.

I guess then GSMarena were not correct in their W902 review where they claimed that the camera (and it's output) is identical to the C902's:
The Sony Ericsson W902 camera is identical to that of the Cyber-shot branded C902. Picture quality accordingly experiences the same highs and lows. The W902 may not have a true rival among Walkmans but the image processing algorithm has a few issues that need sorting out.

The images are crisp with nice contrast but traces of oversharpening are to be seen all over. Both color and luminance noise levels are way too high and are probably also the result of aggressive sharpening. The lens used also seems to be imperfect resulting in easily visible and quite irritating purple fringing.

Compare this C902 shot with this one from the W902. Although the light was not the same in these shots you can still judge NR and sharpening and see that these are very similar.

Maybe they have the same hardware but I think the software used is different. The photo-quality of W902 is slightly worse than C902 IMHO.

It's the same and I know that by experience too. I've taken many, many shots with W902 and I've made test shots with the C902 and I have to say other than the slightly warmer colours in C902, everything else is THE SAME. The only things that make W902 worse is not the optics but the physical design ie. lack of lens cover which attracts fingerprints causing hazy images and stiffer shutter button which cause more blurry pics than C902. If you take care of those hiccups then trust me, it's THE SAME
