I think i'm having one of those deja vous moments. Sounds very familiar to what happened over the P990.
I did like my Satio but was starting to get annoyed at the freezing and restarting. Decided to sell it and bought myself an Elm which while not perfect is proving more reliable and will do until my upgrade is due this September.

If this is true then it's bye bye Sony Ericsson, but in my honest opinion I think there will be an update or two still to come as I don't think SE will just let go of the Satio just like that as after all of the hard work and advertisement costs they put in. I think that they will hopefully rectify all of these issues that Satio users are having and they might even surprise us with new features in the next update. Also I think the company needs to wake up as they just don't know what there doing e.g. some people got told on the support chat that there will be no more updates released for the Satio whereas I got an email saying
Dear basith,
Thank you for contacting the Sony Ericsson support centre.
Unfortunately we can confirm that we do not have a release date for the next software update on the Sony Ericsson Satio. We can only suggest checking with
http://www.sonyericsson.com/support where this will be advised when an update becomes available.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Kind Regards,
Aimee Watson

That basically means that they are making one but cannot confirm the date of release.
Also one last thing please comment on this thread in the Sony Ericsson Symbian thread 'List of improvements/things Sony Ericsson should include/do for the next Satio software update' And hopefully they (SE) will listen to us

Man, that does not mean that they are making one. They said they don't have a release maybe because there isn't an incoming update yet.

SE is slow enough on Satio's update,
it has been 3 more month since the last one rolled out.
I recently brought an ipad, finally get to play the ifone OS interface, Simply put it: Compare to what Satio has... it is like Windows 7 VS windows 3.11
my current ranking for GOod user interface goes as: Iphone OS > Android > Symbian ^1
THen among Symbian ^1
Nokia > Samsung > SE
SE really need to show us supporters some effort, abandon us gets you no where.
Lets hope SE release something in July, else, I will throw away Satio as soon as N8 lands!!!!

Maybe we should get this to go main stream and get engadget to run this as news artical or some thing maybe even slashdot.. Then we might find out if this is true or not, what do you guys think?

Lol, I can't count how many time's I picked that email template out of the system when someone asked that question. They have ZERO clue about firmware development
The only people that might have had any idea about that would be the escalations team, and they would need to contact SE for confirmation before they had any contact with a customer.
