I don't know why and how it found its way to the EU brand cause it deserved to be a walkman and the best ever walkman at that- Aino.

Super sound and a very decent camera.

Can you show a sample of a picture without purple fringing using w995?

Check out my W995 pics, no purple fringing for most of the photos. Not overwhelming even if you can find any Have used W800/K750/W810 and W902 before, W995 is the most flexible (captures most scenes nicely, less limitations like the rest) and can produce the best saturation and most accurate colours as compared to the rest. It also has the strongest flash which never overexposes over a short distance while giving vivid colours instead of white tint like the rest of the Walkmans. Have since moved on to X10 which is the best cam I've used so far

I also thought it strange Satio wasn't branded as a cybershot. Maybe SE are fed up with Sony's licencing fees?

From experience the w995 is not all it's cracked up to be. Great phone for music great sound shit camera. But the build is crap. I had back cover never staying on properly & slider was always wobbly

I found
http://www.esato.com/phonepho[....]hotos.php?pid=21924&uid=106418

Most of pictures there can't proof the absence of purple fringing.
And where it can appear,it appear.
Ever.
By the way,W995 is a good phone.
I think who buy one don't look for a cameraphone.

Ps.: I have an X10 too,for daylight pictures and some indoors it's simply awesome !
