Solved
Regarding Opera Mini, I am blaming Opera for the fault. My guess is that they are having issues with their DNS or something. I will wait a little longer and see. The latest test using two different mobile phones with Mini installed on both tells me that
http://www.esato.com only is accessible from one of the phones while the other phone reports "Could not connect to server". mobile.esato.com and esato.mobi is accessible from both.
