Yes,well I see your point but a phone that is PRONE TO DROPPING Is there a type of phone that falls from your hand or jumps like a frog??

Bigger frogs are harder to handle! So the HD could fall easier..

I still love as I have an Aino coming but from past experiences their phones have never been very sturdy in construction. Lots of wobbly & creaky bits.

One has to generalize here, not only point to specific models from each manufacturer.
SE generally make reliable and well built solid phones. HTC generally don't.

And believe it or not, before the N8, I owned only SE phones.. Well, mostly..
And despite that I'm far from a reckless owner and do pay much attentions handling my phones to keep them in top stand, I did heavily drop almost every phone I owned more than once.

Other than that, not one single SE suffered any hardware issues with time.. Though I don't keep phones more than one year usually.
Only the Satio came with the Xenon defect, but that Xenon flash was replaced and functioned all right beyond that.

The HTC is only vulnerable due to large screen

Why is that?
Well made screens should be solid enough to survive low drops or soft hits regardless of the size!

& that it's quite heavy it would probably hit the ground harder.

All objects fall at same acceleration, the gravitational acceleration.. Mass could increase the impact, but we're talking about negligible numbers here.. No role at all.

I am sure if made a solid metal made phone with a huge screen it would be the same damage from a drop.

The X10 is not made of metal, but only 35 grams lighter and at similar size..

used to make some of the most unreliable phones ever do you not remember that crap period they went through?? Phones falling apart, breaking down & terrible software?? Do you not remember that?? Why you say HTC make the most unreliable phones I never know cos I have not had any issues with mine regarding reliability. And I never said the X10 was made of metal.

Are referring to the P-series?!
Other than that, their feature phones for the past five to six years are of high-quality! Again generally speaking..

Software problems are always there with SE.. It's one of nature's laws..

Why you say HTC make the most unreliable phones I never know cos I have not had any issues with mine regarding reliability.

This is the common thing.. What the users/reviewers say over and over again..
And despite that I didn't own an HTC yet, and probably never will, few of my friends did, and they did confirm this point.

And I never said the X10 was made of metal.

A little misunderstanding here..
You asked for a heavy metallic SE phones as a comparison..

I claimed that the X10 is a bit lighter (no need for it to be metallic) and of similar size..That's all.

I swear you've had more phones than that in 2010. The W995, LG Arena and iPhone 4...? Anyways, I don't blame you for changing your phone so often ahaha. I get bored of phones easily. And I've bought phones which I've returned/stuck back on ebay because I didn't wanna keep them in the end. I'm now on a contract with an iPhone 4. It's a great phone but I'm starting to get bored of it already. I fancy buying myself a spare phone to use when going out etc so I don't bugger it up.

Not really a fan of HTC myself. Know someone who has the tatoo and they say it's a pile of shit, however I know someone who has a desire and they say it's really good, although andriod apps aren't the best. Tempted to get myself a blackberry from ebay or something

No I know I have a lot of money right now but I cannot afford to keep doing it. Matt did you not notice I said I have kept the HTC. So that means yeah I am happy. Yes I have had more phones than this in the year but I was just referring to what happened recently. An Aino is something I want Matt

It is not a mental issue mate. I get pissed off cos you spend money or sign upto a contract & end up with an expensive piece of shit. It's not good enough manufacturers pricing all these phones so high yet they are such a let down in reality.
