I want to see the government grow some back bone & get tough. These people think they are above the law & that they see the rioting as something they can do because they know nothing will happen to them. Cos this country is not tough enough. I don't care what age they are they need to be kicked up the arse & put the fear of god into them A small number of yobs have smashed up a McDonalds,Jessops store & others in Birmingham now. I know the Jessops store too it's in a nice part of the city centre. Some people have said that they are frustrated cos there are no jobs. Well, let me say this. If I was unemployed for a long time, would I go out & burn down half the city?? No,cos I know it's wrong & I am not like that. Threaten these people with a job & they will soon run.

BlackBerry has put out a statement because so much of the looting was organised by BB messenger.

These are mostly young lads. What do their parents think they are doing? I am surprised nobody has been killed yet.

Birmingham city centre 35 arrests but it's calmed down now. Loads of shops damaged including the Orange mobile phone store opposite my old work place. Also Maplins & Jessops When I was young & bored I never did this

Depends on the generation.

Amount of slaps, pokes, pinch with twist I suffered over the years by Police let alone a few kickings in the cells after a night on the lash.

Probably give you a cuppa and a nice slice of cake now
