It's going to make it a bit harder for android manufacturers (and RIM) to differentiate their products from Apple, particularly in the tablet market - one of the most common marketing claims for device X, Y or Z was that it "does flash"
I thought the original intention of this thread was more in line with your above statement rather than what you just mentioned. Anyway, if you started this thread to collect some sort of Android debt on behalf of Apple then it's more serious than I thought!

Ok, put it another way, Android will always sell more than iPhone in the low to mid range because of the price differential, so in terms of unit sales it's unlikely to ever lose that lead.
At the higher end, where Apple makes all its profit and the price difference isn't such a factor, the loss of flash as a boast in the sales pitch over iOS - not just in terms of actual support (which will likely continue for a while yet) but the embarrassing admission from Adobe that mobile flash isn't worth pursuing anyway, certainly won't hurt Apple's sales. That's assuming that any significant number ever genuinely chose their mobile device based on flash support in any case, which some here will have been swearing blind was the case up until just a couple of weeks ago.
It's interesting that in the tablet space, where the pricing is all a lot closer and others have struggled to shave much off the ipad's price, android has yet to make any real inroads even with the boast of flash. That might change with the kindle fire, but like the phones it'll be because of the cheaper price, not the features (or at least not android's features).
