so what's the point to have "K" as next if you don't have "A" and "B" if you think it should be in alphabetical order?

Maybe the original OS was known as versions Alpha and Beta, before Google decided to go down the alphabetical route but with something more fun and memorable, prior to releasing it to the manufacturers and customers.
