What is stopping we here in the states from just buying a unlocked phone from the Uk and putting our sim in it? It does take too long to get new models here This message was posted from a T300

Hi there,

I have a question.

How come sms or text messaging isn’t very popular here in north America as compared to Asia or Europe?

Take note: ( a lot of Asian carriers generates a large amount of revenue from sms alone )

Cheers.

cingular 'direct'

cdcjr, don't worry, we're getting there.

carriers are offering unlimited SMS again as it will bring alot of revenues to the co.

sad to say, cingular's unlimited SMS for $2.99 is limited in time.

bye for now.

Is there any formed group of sms users here in the US or Canada? ( you know, like where you can make friends or socialize thru sending/receiving sms which you become text mate ) if so, where do I find them?

Hi all. T68iFan here, checking in from Los Angeles.

So can anyone recommend a local resource for phone unlocking? I may be getting a T-Mobile dealer account soon, but I want to use my AT&T branded T68i. I don't really want to do it with a company from overseas. I'd rather go into a shop, pay the fee and walk away 15 minutes later with an unlocked phone. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
